I'm a BIG BOY now!

We finally broke down and bought Jordan a new car seat. I was so excited to have him in a seat he could actually fit in. He is such a big boy that the little carrier was getting way too small. He loves his new seat and so far I have been happy with the purchase. He loves to look out the window and see whats going on. It was a happy moment and a sad one because my little baby is now a full blown toddler.. walking, talking, and getting into everything.

Claim Your Cookies:)

So just a short funny story.... Today I was taking a little nap because Jordan has been waking up a lot in the night because he has a cold. I heard what sounded like a truck or 4-wheeler or something just kinda lingering around our house. Usually I hear a truck for a second while it passes by on the road but this noise just kept going and going. I just shrugged it off thinking it was our neighbors trying to fix their truck again or something. Then a little while later Jordan woke up from his nap and I got up to go get him. I always open his blinds after he gets up from a nap so he can play in his room. When I opened his blinds I saw a man plowing our driveway. I thought it was our new neighbors that I had never really met. I was going to go outside but I still had my pj's on Yes I know I'm lazy! I hurried and threw some clothes on to look somewhat presentable and when I went outside the man was gone.

I was pretty sure it was our neighbors so I rushed in the kitchen and started to bake some sugar cookies and decided I would take them over and thank them. I got them done just in time before I had to go to work. They were so good I might add and I was pretty excited to take them over to such a nice person. Well I printed up a cute little thank you card with our name and number on it, put the cookies on a plate and walked on over there. The man was a little heavier than the guy that had shoveled our driveway but I thought maybe it was his son or something.

I handed him the cookies and thanked him for his good deed and his answer made me turn bright RED! He said "I didn't shovel your driveway, but I'll take the cookies." I was so embarrassed and shocked that I just mumbled to myself well I wonder who it was then. I just said well nice to meet you and turned and left. Sooo... Whoever did that nice act of kindness I really would like to thank you and bake you some delicious homemade sugar cookies.

ahh that was exhausting.

Fireman Jordan to the Rescue

Jordan got the cutest fireman towel for Christmas and he loves it. He walked around with it on his head after his bath and just played and laughed. He is such a special spirit. He can brighten the dullest and most horrible day without even trying. So if your having a crapy day like I had today this might lift your spirits.

Red Rocket

Jordan goes through phases with his toys. Sometimes he loves them, sometimes he doesn't care about them, and sometimes he picks one toy and plays with it for like a week staight. He has been really playing with his red rocket my mom and dad got him for Christmas. It's so cute and his little Red PJ's added to the cuteness so I went wild and tried to capture some fun pictures.

A Chain of Tragic Events.

On Saturday our bad luck started off with a bang or a side swipe.
Tragic Event #1: On our way to Matt and Lonnie's house Nate side swiped our car with our sammi backing out of the driveway. We got out to access the damage and sure enoughit put a long dent in the side of my passenger door and back fender. Well little did we know this was just the beginning of a horrible weekend.

Tragic Event #2: We arrived at Matt and Lonnies and during the house tour Jordan yep you guessed it fell right down their enourmous flight of stairs. It was bound to happen I think every kid has that unfortunate fall.

Tragic Event #3: Then the following day we were getting ready for church, you know eating breakfast well thats about as far as we got. Nate put Jordan in his highchair and pushed it up to the table. If you don't know what our table looks like its one of those HIGH tables. We have done this a million times before mind you. We have one of those highchairs that straps to the chair. Well Jordan getting older and wiser pushed off of the table and flung backward hitting his head and cutting it open. He also bit open his toungue. he cried for about 2 hours and then finally fell asleep after getting some Tylenol for the pain. So needless to say we didn't go to church or ever get breakfast.

Lucky for us the bad luck streak ended there!

Our Friends the Pace's and the funny Hat!

Well our friends and old neighbors just moved into their beautiful and huge house down the street and over from our new neighborhood. I am super excited because they are so fun and soon will be having a little boy that Jordan can be friends with. We went over to see their house the other night and invited them over for dinner and to watch the Jazz game. While Matt and Lonnie were there we got a suprise visit from Nate's cousin Chris and his wife Melissa it was good to see them! They also brought their dog brewer he is so cute. I'm sad I didn't get pictures of Chris, Melissa and Brewer maybe next time. While we watched the game I took some fun pictures but don't worry Lonnie I won't post the one of you I promised ha ha. Jordan was making us all laugh cause he kept putting on Nate's beanie hat he thought he was so cool.Anyway we all had a good laugh. It was a fun night.

Jordan finally sleeps

So I know it wasn't too long ago when I was asking everyone for help on getting Jordan to sleep on his own in his own bed. I finally sleep through the night with no interruptions (except for Nate's alarm early in the morning) because Jordan sleeps all night long on his own. In fact he is the best little sleeper now I can't even believe he is the same kid. He takes a 2 to 3 hour nap every day and sleeps from 7pm to 9am sometimes he will sleep in until 10. I am so lucky and I love to get my sleep its wonderful. I just wanted to tell everyone that gave me the advice to let him cry it out THANKS! It works, it works, it works!

My Missionary

On Sunday I dressed Jordan for the first time in his little man tie. He looked just like a little missionary. It was so adorable I couldn't resist taking some pictures. He was so grouchy that day well pretty much every Sunday because Church is right when his nap usually occurs. So excuse his frowny face in every picture.

What's a FORK?

Well I decided since Jordan is almost one its time to graduate from finger feeding to fork feeding. He really doesn't understand the concept at all but he loves his baby fork. If I even attempt to take the fork away he cries like he has lost his first born seriously. I hope he gets the hang of it soon because he really doesn't eat well when I give the fork to him. He basically just pounds it into his food and chews on it. Here are some cute pictures I took yesterday of Jordan and his fork.

Walkin' and Talkin'

Jordan is walking almost running and talking like a little chatter box. He is so precious and fun. I love to see him grow and learn. I love him so much sometimes I wonder how I could ever love another child the same. He loves to play with his daddy and Nate is such a wonderful dad I feel so blessed to have him as a husband. I love my two boys more than life itself.
