Christmas at our House!

This year we did things different at our house since we have Jordan and everyone is having so many kids. Well first off we had Christmas Eve at Kristen's' house. She made spaghetti and meatballs and everyone brought something (I was in charge of the salad). We also had a chocolate fondue bar with marshmallows and fruit, ice cream sundaes with all the toppings you could imagine, yummy cheese balls with crackers, cranberry sprite, and all different kinds of breads (banana and pumpkin). We had so much fun with everyone and even Great Grandma and Grandpa were there this year. The kids we running around like maniacs and Jordan always joins in on the fun with the big kids. I didn't get any pictures of Christmas Eve dinner but just video. After we got done with Christmas Eve dinner we headed home and Nate had to scare me by trying to spin a Brodie it was so scary and then we opened our Christmas Eve Pajamas. We got Jordan in the bath and ready for bed and waited for Santa to arrive.



Santa did come to our house and Jordan loved all of his gifts. Nate got me a mp3 player and a ton of clothes. I got him a psp3 game and some clothes. We also got a air compressor for our family gift. I didn't get a ton of pictures but he got a remote control tonka truck, a lawn mower, and a swimming fish for the bath tub from Santa. My mom and dad gave him that radio flyer rocket it makes cool rocket noises and lights up and Nate's parents gave him a little bike that can turn into a rocker and has a steering wheel and it talks and plays music and a new blue blanket. He got some outfits, books, treats in his stocking and a new sippy cup. He also got some other small random toys like stacking blocks, a drill that makes noises and a little hammer toy. Wow anyway he got lots of stuff it was a little overwhelming for him I think. He loves his lawn mower and all of his toys but his lawn mower especially. Here is a picture and a little video.





Then after Christmas presents Nate's mom and I cooked breakfast! We had eggs, bacon, and toast. Then they left and we played with toys and cleaned the house. Nate enjoyed his video game Call of duty world at war and Jordan eventually went down for a nap. Around 2:00 we went up to Nate's parents house and opened our gifts with everyone there. We got a new DC 14 Dyson, new sheets, Nate got some bullets and a nice dress shirt. I got a new outfit and make up bag. We got the game Scrabble and a scale to measure out meat or whatever else from Jason and Lindsay (We draw Names). The kids drew names too and Jordan got a cute Einstein magnet book and a Einstein book that can go in the bath. Basically we made out like bandits! That day we had a yummy Christmas dinner at Nate's parents house. We had ham and turkey, cheesy potatoes, stuffing, seasoned carrots, salad, rolls, raspberry jello with whipped cream, and your choice of strawberry cheesecake or pumpkin pie. Wow this is a super long entry! Just some other random things we did... Josh, Ashley and Alli came later on Christmas day (It was fun to see them) and that night we played catch phrase with everyone! It was so much fun although I'm not that good at it but a lot of us weren't that good but it was a blast. when we went home in the Blizzard we discovered our power was out so we headed back to Nate's parents house. Our Power was out for 4 hours that night. On Friday the girls went shopping for discounted Christmas stuff and for the first time I didn't really load up on stuff. I guess now that I'm in my house I just don't need that much which is nice. That night we ate leftovers and played a game of Scrabble and a ton of games of Catch Phrase. I was lucky that night because Nate took Jordan home and put him to bed and watched the Jazz game and I got to enjoy playing games in peace! Thanks Hunny! Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas like we did.

Jordan is so close to walking but he just can't seem to just do it all the time. I am hoping by Christmas he can walk on his own all the time but I don't know.

Jordan is loving the SNOW!

Today we took Jordan outside to play in the snow and he LOVED it. He is so funny I just love him. Nate was off today and so was I so we had to do lots of fun things. We had such a great day. Nate went hunting this morning with his dad and Jordan and I slept in. We got up and ate breakfast and then got ready for the day. Nate and his dad went and shoveled driveways for his dad and grandpa. Then we went out to lunch at Hermies, it was delicious. Then we went home and shoveled our driveway and Jordan and I handed out our neighborhood gifts. Then we got ready and headed over to Nate's mom and dads house to take our Christmas family pictures and go four wheeling. Grandma Joanne babysat while me and Nate and his dad took the four wheelers out for a night time ride. I LOVE four wheeling in the snow its my all time favorite thing to do in the winter. When we got back Joanne had cooked homemade chili yum! Then I got Jordan in the bath and we went downstairs and played the Wii. I had so much FUN I seriously didn't ever want the day to end. Stocking Stuffers?

This year as you all know is Jordan's first Christmas and I have gone back and forth on whether to do a stocking. I decided that I probably should but I seriously have no idea what to put in his stocking. If any of you have any ideas PLEASE fill me in so far I have a thing of bubble bath ha ha. I don't want to put in any candy because he can't really eat candy sooooo anyway any ideas?

You Might and You Might NOT!

So I have been trying my best to get Nate to take a Family picture to send out for the holidays but I have decided he is impossible. Jordan is 10 months old and we have NEVER gotten a family photo taken. I don't really understand why he is being so stubborn about it really. I will keep trying but it just seems that he always has basketball or work or weeblos or something to do when we can take the picture and not to mention we don't have anyone really to take it sooo you might and you might not be getting a christmas card from The Sutherlands I can only try so hard seriously people!

Finally SNOW!

We Finally got snow here in Cedar City! I have been waiting patiently for snow to come. I LOVE the snow and I was super excited to go sledding with Jordan this winter. I have been bummed out because its been so DRY this year which is not good anyway. So I was elated when I walked outside to find it snowing. YAY for snow although it wasn't enough to go sledding it might be the beginning of something good even though its December already.

Dumpy Dumbo:(

Yesterday I went up to Wal-Mart to pick a gift for Jordan from my parents. Nate met us there and walked us out and on the way out we thought maybe we would put Jordan in that Dumbo ride HA! It was the dumpiest thing ever! I mean he is 10 months old and I don't even think he noticed that it was moving, and it was .50$ which I think was kinda expensive for that. Anyway save your money and don't try Dumpy Dumbo. On another note Jordan is going to LOVE his Christmas I can't wait for him to open all of his gifts I am way excited.

All Wrapped Up!

I was trying to get Jordan in a better mood today so I decided to play around and wrap him up like a present haha. He thought it was funny but he wanted it off after too long. He did perk up after I started laughing and making funny faces at him trying to get a cute picture. I guess whatever it takes to make the grumpy man Happy:)

Catch up with the Sutherlands!

I feel like I haven't really had that much to blog about this month. I thought I would catch up everyone on our lives right now. Jordan is now 10 months old and he is walking for the most part but not well enough to put him down in public places. He had his first fever the night before last and last night also. He had some sort of virus and I can tell you I'm not liking the fever thing they are so grumpy. He has been a lot better today but still grumpy. Nate still is a manager at Wal-Mart and we feel very blessed with the economy being as bad as it is right now, he has a good job. Nate is also teaching Weeblos haha its so funny and they are so unorganized seriously. I work at Gateway Prepratory Academy a couple hours a day and I love it. It gets me out of the house and Jordan and I have a break from eachother. I have a calling also and that is Mia-Maid advisor in the Young Women. I love my calling and the girls are such wonderful girls they truly inspire me. We are still loving our house and look forward to our deck in the spring(I can finally use my new patio furniture Ya)I guess thats about it. We are kinda boring haha but I love it.

1.Where were you when you first found out that you were pregnant? I was in our apartment in the bathroom on Mothers Day!

2.Who was with you? Nate my hubby

3.How did you find out that you were pregnant? Home pregnancy test.

4.What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? I was soooo excited we had been trying for a while and on fertility.

5.Who was the first person you told? Nate

6.Did you plan to get pregnant? YES maybe too much.

7.Did you tell everyone else right away? Yeah I couldn't keep it in I was too excited.

8.Was everybody happy for you? I think everyone was super excited and relieved.

9.Did you go out and celebrate? umm.. maybe to dinner.

10.Did you want to find out the sex? Yes, but I do think it would be fun not to.

13.Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew that you wouldn't put on yourbaby? No I can honestly say that my friends and family have pretty good taste.

14.How much weight did you gain? WELL do I really have to say? OK I gained 50 Pounds! CRAZY

17.What did you crave the most? Ice Cream and Potato Chips

18.Did you crave anything crazy? Yeah I did but I can't really remember what, but Nate always used to say it was gross ha ha

19.Who or what got on your nerves? Well when my mom came (I Love you Mom) it was really hard for me because I was trying really hard to get the baby here before she had to leave and he just wouldn't come so that irritated me and then he finally came the day before she left.

20.Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Not one single thing. It was a great pregnancy and a long one.

21.Where and when did you go into labor? I had just gotten stripped for the 3rd time and we went to eat at Dairy Queen I'm pretty sure it started there and then we went to Wal-Mart and I was in so much pain I had to stop when I got a contraction. I kept saying to myself to stick it out because I didn't want to go to the hospital and get sent home so I just kept shopping. Then I told my mom I couldn't do it anymore and I just wanted to go home and rest so we left Wal-Mart. In the car my mom kept saying lets just go to the hospital and I said NO I just want to go home. Then halfway down main street I just felt like I was going to die so I told my mom to get me to the hospital NOW! We didn't even take the groceries home and they admitted me and then my water broke.

24.Who was in the room when you gave birth? WELL.. My mom, Nate, My sister Julie, My mother-in-law Joanne, and my two sister-in-laws Kristen and Lindsay and the nurse and Doctor WOW:)

25.Did you go early or late? 1 Day Late

26. How long were you in labor? about 6 or so

27.Did you have any drugs for the pain? Epidural

28.Did you go natural or have a C-section? Natural.

29.What was your first reaction after giving birth? I remember I was just so tired and sick from all the Epidurals they gave me. I had 3 by the time I delivered it sucked.

30.How big was the baby? 7 lbs. 8 oz. 20 inchs

31.Did your husband cry? No I thought we both would but neither of us did.

32.What did you name the baby? Jordan

33.Does his name have any significant meaning? No, I just liked it I guess and it was really the only name we could both agree on.

34.Did you have any visitors? Yes I think just about everyone we knew came by to visit. It was nice.

35.Did the baby have any complications? No he was fine but like I said I had to have 3 epedurials because there was a leak in the tubing. It sucked when it wore off and I was an 8 or 9. Then they gave me my last one and I was so numb they had to tell me when to push. I also had some bleeding afterwards.

36.How old is your baby today? 10 Months

37.When is the next one coming? Well we want them semi close and since we kinda have a hard time we will try again when Jordan turns 1!

38.If you could would you do it all over again? Heck Yes, I love my litle Boy!
