First Sausage, Bad Fall, and Popsicles

Jordan had a first while visiting my parents. We were all eating eggs and sausage and Jordan has had eggs before but never sausage. He was begging for sausage so I gave him one and he loved it.

While my dad was finishing their shed in the backyard Jordan went out on the deck. To keep him from going down the deck and into the yard to bug my dad we put a safety gate up. I was in doing the dishes and could see him from the window and my mom could see him also. He was yelling at my dad and holding onto the gate. Well the gate didn't hold and down Jordan fell 3 stairs right onto his face on the bricks down below. It was so scary. I rushed out there and he wasn't making any noise. Then I realized he was about to cry really hard they kinda hold their breath. Well when I turned him over his face was all bloody. I don't handle blood very well so I handed him over to my mom and just cried. A couple days later I took a picture and it still looked pretty bad.

One day while we were in Kansas the kids were playing outside and it was like the one nice hot day we had. My mom had bought some yummy grape Popsicles and Jordan got to have one all to himself! I have to say it was pretty entertaining.

Randoms

Here are some random pictures of some of our Kansas trip that didn't really have any sort of huge significance. We went to a lot of the parks there. Jordan loved the open fields which there are a lot of in Kansas. They have some really neat parks there for kids to play on. In one picture my dad is helping him climb up the slide that is Jordan's thing. He could care less about going down the slide but he loves climbing up the slide. The other pictures are of my sister Julie's girls with Jordan watching Jordan's' new baby signing time video which he absolutely loves.

Sternberg Museum

Ok so I'm finally starting to feel better and get my life back in order so I have decided to slowly start posting some of our adventures that we have taken. Back in May when we went to Kansas we went to this dinosaur museum. It was seriously the coolest thing ever especially for such a small town like Hays. It's been there for a while but I just always thought it would be stupid boy was I wrong. My favorite was the actual dinosaur room that had recreated dinosaurs in it that moved and roared. When you walk in there are small dinosaurs and then when you turn the corner there is a HUGE T-Rex and it bows down and roars at you with its head right by yours it was so cool. Anyway there were tons of real dinosaur bones too which were equally as cool and a lot of them were from Utah.

Update

I guess I better let people know that we are expecting baby #2. This pregnancy is miserable and nothing short of miserable. I have been so sick and not able to work. I basically just lay around all day and let Jordan destroy my house. I never cook dinner anymore which I really think Nate is loosing weight LOL. I feel so awful and from time to time Jordan has to go to Grandma's house. I am still alive so if you all have wondered we are still here surviving until I feel better. We have forever still but it would be nice if the morning sickness would go away. I will eventually fill everyone in on my blog about the rest of my trip and life after my trip Maybe:)

Our New SandBox

My mom and my older sister Julie and I went to some garage sales while I was in Kansas. I was so annoyed that I couldn't buy stuff but I did end up buying a few things. One big purchase was a sandbox and I kinda bought it knowing that I probably couldn't get it home. They had such smoking good deals out there. The sandbox was only 5.00 yep I know how could I pass that up. Lucky me my little sister is coming here for the summer and she is bringing it in her truck. I'm so excited. We did use it while we were there and Jordan loved it. I can't wait to fill it back up and let hime go to town.

Bowling

While we were in Kansas we also went bowling which was a lot cheaper than Cedar. Jordan was busy as usual and he really loved it. We went with my little sister Amy, her boyfriend Josh, Elizabeth and Hannah and Tony. We had fun but trust me one game was plenty I really didn't think the kids would ever finish their game. At first the kids where just trying to throw the ball down the lane on their own and then we got smart and asked for one of those ramps. Oh and you know we always have at least one bad thing happen everywhere we go so Jordan ran down the lane and slipped and fell. He got about half way down the lane before he fell and I had to venture out there to go get him and boy are those lanes slippery!

The Airport

Getting to Kansas was a huge challenge for me. I will NEVER do it alone again. Jordan was fine in the airport I had the stroller and toys but on the plane was a different story. On the way to Kansas he slept most of the way but still cried a lot on the plane. It's so embarrassing when your on a small plane crammed with people and your little boy is screaming bloody murder in their ear and kicking the people sitting next to you. There was seriously nothing I could do but hold him tight and try everything to calm him down. Eventually he bit the dust from exhaustion. On the way home however, he was 10 times worse he cried pretty much the entire time and loud. The people next to me were foreigners :( The wife was singing in German to try to calm him down and the stewardess was waving a card to try to cool him down. I was about ready to cry and jump off the plane at the same time. Jordan finally fell asleep 3 minutes before we were to get off the plane. GO FIGURE. One guy said "I have a 9 month old and my wife has to fly with him alone next week and I'm starting to wonder if it's a good idea." Another lady came up to me after we got off the plane and said "Is this the little guy that screamed the whole way? Poor little fella" How embarrassing.
